Printable Sudoku Maker builds new puzzles in your browser every time you ask. You choose the difficulty, the grid size and how many puzzles go on a page, and you get a clean sheet ready for the printer with the answers on a separate page.
How the puzzles are made
Each puzzle starts from a complete, valid grid. Numbers are then removed one at a time. After every removal the puzzle is checked so it still has exactly one solution, and it is graded by the techniques a person needs to solve it:
- Easy and medium can be solved with singles only. They differ in clue count.
- Hard needs at least one intermediate technique, such as pointing pairs or naked pairs.
- Expert cannot be solved with those techniques at all.
- 6×6 and 4×4 grids for kids are solved with singles only and are graded by clue count.
The same seed always produces the same puzzles, which is why share links work.
Free to use
You are welcome to print the puzzles for personal use, classrooms, clubs, care homes and newsletters. The site may show ads in the future to cover its costs. Ads never appear on the printed sheets.
